Business education

Business education is a branch of education that involves teaching the skills and operations of the business industry. This field of education occurs at multiple levels, including secondary and higher education institutes. Education in business has many forms, mainly occurring within a classroom of a school. Internships are also another way to receive this type of education. A business education has many components, as there are many different areas of the business industry as a whole. An education in business varies greatly in its curriculum and popularity around the world. Career development is often an integral part of an education in business.

Andras Felkai Academic Award

On the Andras Felkai academic award scholarship designed to support young students of the Hungarian economy to higher education or to continue their education. The scholarship is available for undergraduate and graduate programs in Hungary and abroad. Expenses that may be covered include tuition fees, examinations, textbooks, manuals, and costs for travel and accommodation etc. The purpose of the Andras Felkai academic award is a contribution to the Hungarian economy and financial sector with highly skilled professionals who, like Andras Felkai, characterized by a positive attitude, competence and international mindedness. In order to achieve their goals of the award is to support the studies of talented students and young professionals selected by the Committee. Felkai Andras was a prominent and respected figure of the Hungarian financial sector. He was born in 1956 in Budapest, began in Germany, and then lived with a family in India for many years. He received a diploma in the technical University of Dresden transport psychology, faculty of Economics and business administration. From 1980 until 1988, he worked in CIB Bank and left the Bank as head of international corporate relations. In 1988, he was appointed Deputy General Director, then Executive Director of inter-Europa Bank. In the middle of 1990-ies he worked in the child branch? Sao Paulo Bank in Vienna, then at the end of the year he was President and chief Executive officer of European commercial Bank. After 1998, when Citibank bought the financial institution he played senior positions in Citibank in Hungary. In subsequent years, he successfully led his own consulting company, and was a member of the Board of Directors of Synergon information systems PLC. He died in a plane crash along with other members of the Board in June 2001. Citibank Hungary, together with the Fund of development of the financial culture, co-founded the Andras Felkai academic award in 2002. The family of Andras Felkai, several institutions and individual donors have also contributed to the Fund. On Andras science Foundation award Felkai is a non-profit organization and its financial support enjoys tax benefits.

The Association for Business Communication is a learned society for the field of business communication. Its mission statement states: "The Association for Business Communication is an international organization committed to fostering excellence in business communication scholarship, research, education, and practice". The organization is interdisciplinary, with members belonging to academic fields such as management, marketing, English, foreign languages, speech, communication, linguistics, and information systems. Additionally the organization brings together university academicians, business practitioners, and business consultants.

Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business

The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, also known as AACSB International, is an American professional organization. It was founded in 1916 to provide accreditation to business schools.Not all AACSB members are accredited and AACSB does not accredit for-profit schools. On average, AACSB observes that schools take between four and five years to earn AACSB Accreditation. The amount of time it will take a school to earn accreditation depends largely on how closely aligned they are with AACSB standards when they apply for eligibility. The AACSB withdrew recognition by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation in 2016. This is because the AACSB now holds international recognition by the ISO.

Business and Computing

A Business and Computing is a dual degree program offered jointly by some computing and business schools. The program generally lasts four-five years instead of seven-eight years to complete separate the two degrees and results in the candidate earning both a Bachelor of Business degree and a Bachelor of Computing degree. Graduating Business and Computing students may choose to work on computing/technical matter, or enter the business world, or even enjoy the gray area between business and computing fields such as IT security officer, IT consultant, etc. Even though a majority of Business and Computing graduate from a single university, there are people who earn these degrees from different universities.
